Well the project, the development of a successful completely new brass capturing system in an ammo can is a success. Five months behind schedule but well worth the waiting.

The information pages with video and pictures will be online shortly. The delay was caused by the backstop system not performing to it’s expectations and required numerous redesigns.

So now the system is ready and a complete prototype is ready for the last test and to provide video and pictures for your review and scrutiny. The ‘National, is just another way to help keep the environment clean, whether you reload or not, it is your duty to clean up after yourself. Competition in Arms

There was a time during my Marine Corps career that I looked forward to the annual Competition in Arms program. This program was of a highly competitive nature… being small arms firing consisting of a ladder system…. First on a local Unit, Squardron or Division level, which is the closest to your duty station. Some even had a Base Shooting Team, which was how I got into this in the first place.

As the competition continued through the week we started to see some stars being born and the seasoned shooter or “Distinguished” shooter rising above to the top ten percent. At the match end, both Rifle and Handgun Disciplines awarded the Top Ten Percent with Gold, Siver, and Bronze medals and a ticket to the next rung in the ladder. This was the Marine Corps Matches in Quantico, VA… which separated the men from the boys. The same award system is used and is held at the end of this match recognising the TOP TEN PERCENT of the Marines Corps.

This rung of qualifiers were offered a choice of joining the USMC Pistol Team or USMC Rifle Team, where they would attend matches of their discipline throughout the country. The last and most prestigious of the competitions was “the National Matches” at Camp Perry, Ohio where the best of the best come to shoot and compete from throughout the country.

The match end at Perry where each discipline was a week long, showered the TOP TEN PERCENT in the COUNTRY with riches of Gold, Silver, and Bronze and other prizes. Some went “Distinguished” which is the highest award for their discipline, where only a hundred or so are listed for their discipline, and some for both discipline making them “Doubled Distinguished” a rarety amongst the countries best.

Well the time is closing in on July where I intend to compete amongst the best and hopefully attaining the coverted “Distinguished” distinction, where accepting an invite to the next rung…an invitation to the BIANCHI Cup is made.

BUBCA The I and II Systems Are Revamped

BUBCA The I and II Systems Are Revamped
Well…we’ve been working hard to improve our BUBCA product line with now two updated and upgraded units based on the same design. The upgrades are free to all BUBCA owners of the same model previuosy purchased. Every upgrade is truely worth the change making the product stronger, easier to use, and an added asset to have at the bench.

BUBCA I has replaced the original system with numerous improvements and will be available in April. It is superior to the original with a top that covers the mouth at 36″. BUBCA II is also like BI but the top is at 24″ in height. Both these systems eliminate all the wire used for support in the backstop netting. There is a netting with NO wires running through it anywhere.

The wire support change makes it 100 times easier to setup and take down. The wire support consists of two wire stretches encased with shrink tubing and is placed under the top netting mesh crisscrossing each other at the mid point with each end slipping into the 3mm holes at the top of the telescoping supports. A TRUE upgrade that makes life easier and works even better than the original.

You will find that the wires criss cross to each corner through the 3mm hole and then each end is fitted with wire nuts for added strength and keeping the wires from moving. With this top support and the quick tabs that fit over the front rods makes setup a breeze. The criss cross to each corner serves another purpose, they actually are slightly long making each wire end that penetrates each rod tip actually force the telescoping rods into that respective corner. The supports hold the backstop open and in wind you should only need to use the cotterpins in the base of each rod solidifying the complete system. NOW that’s an improvement.

Coming soon a completely different system that still uses the ammocan as a base but has a radical change that SHOULD receive a go ahead from the NRA for use at the National Matches in Camp Perry in Ohio. The new system is so called The “National” for the fact that this is the match it is designed for. You could see some of them this year but much more of them the following year.

The “National” is coming and should arrive on time by July or August. Ready to change the way we catch brass one person at a time. Welcome to the 21st Century!!

Blind Siding your 2nd Ammendment

You are in SC, RI etc. - and this is really important to those of us who live in
the states listed below, and all gun owners.

This legislation is in progress right now. This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona,
California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland,
Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island,
South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington

I would strongly suggest you contact your state representatives and
senators to protest this bill. It is an attempt to abridge the Second
Amendment by taking away ammo. It has been well proven that there is no
technology existing that allows manufacturers to “encode” information like
they are trying to push. It is the first step to disarming the American
public. Note that these bills also require a national registry of
ammunition purchases: name, address, caliber, kind, quantity, etc. Also,
any ammunition that a person owns that is not “encoded” must be destroyed
two years after this goes into effect (next summer).

My recommendation would be for you to forward this to anyone who either
hunts or owns a firearm.
People without the ability to defend themselves are not citizens – they are
subjects.

Remember how Obama said that he wasn’t going to take your guns?
Well, it seems that his minions and allies in the anti-gun world have no
problem with taking your ammo!

The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana)
requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture and establishes a
data base of all ammunition sales so they will know how much you buy and
what calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless
the ammunition is coded.

Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011
Including hand loaded ammo.) They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every
round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more!

If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona,

Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island,

Now inclusive with all BUBCA Systems we’ve seen that our customers require a strong, and unmoveable backstop to hold steady in all conditions we run into. So included with the base systems are the telescoping rod braces and four cotter pins to lock them inplace. These parts will lock that backstop inplace. The High Wind Kit now contains the Table Clamp and its components which will also reduce the price from $25 to $10 each.

Those of us who don’t smoke Cubans illegally, and complain about all of us not needing self defensive weapons, sit in Hollywood and in DC on their romps smoking those cigars and gladly utillizing their need for protection, (body guards, Secret Service, and carrying their own weapons) while telling us we don’t need ours are hippocrites to the full extent of the word. The people that live in poor, drug infested, gang run areas everyday are the people they are trying to disarm, each and every one of those “Law Abiding Citizens” while offering no answer to their living conditions and the death raging outside their doors. Though they did say that if they disarm us (Law Abiding Citizens) that crime and murder would just drop to nonexistant in the near future. Are we that stupid or brainwashed to believe that even the criminals that illegally carry weapons now will give them up because of a new law? They are already law breakers and only need to be raned in to the jail cell they belong in with the now existant laws on the books.

No more rambling on to the danger we are being confronted with in the near future.

BUBCA Versatility

You may not have thought of it but the BUBCA system is very versatile, meaning you need not extend the vertical supports above the height you need for a particular weapon, bench or tripod. The backstop extends a full 48″ above the container top for maximum capture area.

Conditions may not require you to use the entire height, so you may shorten the support extension for your needs. Depending upon your weapon characteristics, you made need an additional top netting to completely close the open top. This creates another rebound point directing the casing to the shorter rear backstop and into the container.

We have had some customer feedback about enclosing a top for this purpose and as we always do, we’ve heard you and come up with a perfect solution. There will be offered a top netting that will attach to the vertical supports at the approximate 30″ area of extension. This will hit the eStore for purchase within the next month.

Now for further versatility there will be a second BUBCA system designed and offered for sale along side the original full size unit, a shortened version for shooters who don’t need the full height extension. The option will be available within the next 30-45 days. This option changes only the backstop and top in a shorted height. The support rods are full size where those that may need a full size backstop also can purchase an additional optional full size backstop completing the full range for the system.

Those that already have the full size can purchase the short size backstop as an option on the website. Look for these changes in the near future and if there are any other comments please send them on the available website page to our attention.

Presidents 100 and National Match Course

Well, it has been several days since I last wrote about BUBCA and it’s definately been too long. I have spent 1-2hrs per day practicing for the Presidents Hundred and the National Match Course with 230gr hardball ammo. It is a gruelsome load for many but it’s a must to increase and maintain accuracy. I depend on my years of experience and know how to guide my progress.

It is definately a much easier process since using the Best Universal Brass Catch All, BUBCA allowing me to concentrate on each shot closely. I don’t have the time to worry where my brass is going so I can hurriedly speed the process of picking it up before someone else does. My mind is at ease and relaxed to afford each and every shot the time it needs. The brass will go where it is supposed to go, into the ammocan. No fuss No muss.

Everyone that takes their shooting seriously needs this device and the luxury of added time and concentration needed to produce X’s. I will keep you posted.
